U.S.A.
We are excited to present a truly collectible and fascinating timepiece: a vintage Illinois dress pocket watch from 1923, complete with a 14K white gold pocket watch chain and pearls.
This manual-wind pocket watch features the original Illinois Watch Co. mechanical movement, grade 274. It includes 21 jewels, model 1, 12s, open face design, and adjustments for 3 positions and temperature. The movement also has a sub-second hand and was crafted in the U.S.A.
The original silver textured dial showcases bold Arabic numerals, a silver minute track, and matching gold hands. The sub-second dial, located at 6 o’clock, has Arabic numerals marking every 10 seconds. The dial is beautifully adorned and signed with the Illinois name/logo at the top.
Encased in a 43.2mm round case, this pocket watch is finished in 14K white gold, with an elegant, engraved design on the case back and border.
After more than 95 years, this piece remains a highly collectible and remarkable find. It runs smoothly and keeps excellent time.

Vintage watches are generally smaller than contemporary models. Men’s watches typically range from 29 to 36mm in width (with some being larger or smaller), excluding the crown. In our listings, we strive to include all relevant dimensions of each watch. If you don’t see a specific measurement or if we’ve overlooked it, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Women’s watches from the 1900s to the 1970s were also significantly smaller than today’s offerings. Feel free to ask any questions regarding size.
We prefer to take photographs outdoors when the weather allows. However, when shooting indoors, please note that we use lightboxes equipped with 360 LED bulbs, which can magnify any flaws that may be less noticeable to the naked eye. That said, we never use Photoshop to alter our images or remove blemishes. While we may adjust the lighting as needed, what you see is what you get, and we take pride in that.
