The Rolex Datejust is one of the most iconic and most beloved Rolex watches ever made, even though the Datejust was launched in 1945 it has remained a timeless classic and is instantly recognizable as an item of refined quality and functional design. We love the early Rolex DateJust for its simplicity and its classic sophistication. This specific 1962 Datejust Ref.1601 retains it original dial silver  SWISS only "Pie Pan"  dial which is sought after among collectors. The case is sharp and the lugs are thick, free from any blemishing or scratches. The lugs are very full on this case, free from any blemishing or scratches. The original and unpolished white gold bezel is also stunning and original to the watch as is the folded link jubilee bracelet stamped 4/62 with original 55 end links. The bracelet shows normal stretch from use and retains the original  "Big Crown" clasp which is era correct for this specific timepiece.

DIAL & HANDS

This specific 1963 Datejust Ref.1601 retains it original dial silver SWISS only "Pie Pan"  dial which is sought after among collectors. The dial has taken on a warm silver patina and is free of any cracking or blemishing. The tritium lume filled dauphine hands and lume dots are in also stunning and have taken on a nice dark golden patina.
