The Rolex Datejust is one of the most iconic and most beloved Rolex watches ever made. This specific 1970 Datejust Ref. 1600 retains its original silver "pie-pan" dial, alpha hands, its original and elusive smooth stainless steel bezel, and is in excellent condition. CASE & BRACELET

The strong case is in excellent, lightly polished condition with full and even lugs that exhibit light signs of use. The smooth stainless steel bezel remains unpolished and displays honest signs of use. The original Rolex 6251H rolled-link Jubilee bracelet with 55 end pieces is stamped 4/65 and retains 22 links that show moderate stretch which is common for the style and age of the bracelet.

DIAL & HANDS

The silver sunburst "pie-pan" dial is in lovely, lightly aged condition that provides a handsome vintage aesthetic. The tritium lume plots are in excellent condition and have taken on a creamy yellow patina and display no degradation when inspected under U.V. light inspection. The original tritium alpha hands match the dial perfectly and show no degradation under U.V. light inspection. The metallic date wheel is original with open 6's and 9's.
