The Rolex Datejust is one of the most iconic and most beloved Rolex watches ever made. This specific 1971 Datejust Ref. 1601 retains its original Grey "pie-pan" stick marker dial and is in excellent condition with its original Jubilee bracelet and white gold fluted bezel. This piece would make a great start for a new vintage collector, or be a great addition to an expanding collection. SPECS

CASE & BRACELET

The excellent case is very crisp with symmetrical lugs that retain very thick dimensions. The white gold fluted bezel remains unpolished with minimal signs of use. The case back retains crisp finishing as well with expected signs of light use. The original Rolex rolled-link Jubilee bracelet with 55 end pieces retains 19 links that show some stretch and will fit up to a 7-inch wrist.

DIAL & HANDS

The original grey sunburst "pie-pan" dial is in remarkably well-preserved and beautiful condition, the only element of age present being a small spot of patina on the dial edge near the 10 o'clock lume plot. The tritium lume plots have achieved a handsome creamy patina and exhibit no degradation when inspected under U.V. light. The original tritium hands match the dial perfectly and display no degradation under U.V. light inspection. The metallic date wheel is original with "open" 6's and 9's.

None. The watch was recently serviced and is keeping time perfectly, backed by a 1-year warranty on accurate timekeeping.
