What is a Buckley dial? These excellent Roman numeral marker dials differentiate themselves as true collector items with painted numerals as opposed to the more commonly seen applied marker, along with matching black hands. The Buckley dials were made famous after a Rolex collector coined the term several years back.
The Rolex Datejust is one of the most iconic and most beloved Rolex watches ever made, even though the Datejust was launched in 1945 it has remained a timeless classic and is instantly recognizable as an item of refined quality and functional design. The exceptional case remains in factory unpolished condition, showing only minimal signs of previous use. The 18k yellow gold fluted bezel is also in unpolished condition, showing crisp edges almost no signs of use. The watch will come supplied on a 2pc handmade leather strap.
DIAL & HANDS
the champagne "Buckley" is in perfect original condition, showing no blemishes or age. The tritium lume plots exhibit no degradation under U.V. light inspection and have taken on a gorgeous custard yellow coloration. The original tritium black "Buckley" hands match the dial perfectly and show no degradation when inspected under U.V. light. The gold date wheel is era correct with open 6's and 9's.
