Known for their exquisite jewelry and timepieces, the house of Verger Frères was established in Paris in 1872. The level of craftsmanship, innovative techniques, and refined designs created by the firm were so esteemed that they were the only jeweler entrusted by Cartier, other than Cartier themselves, to create the legendary Mystery Clocks.

Unlike other esteemed workshops, Verger Frères did not create pieces from the designs of the top jewelry houses; rather, they supplied their own original designs. Their extensive list of prominent retailers included Cartier, Black Starr & Frost, Marcus & Co., Van Cleef & Arpels, Lacloche Frères, Boucheron, Tiffany, and Bulgari amongst others.

The Verger family maintained ownership of the business until the 1950s when it was purchased by another exceptional French workshop, that of Georges Lenfant. In the 2000s, it was acquired by jewelry manufacturer Atelier Bouder, who have relaunched the name with creations inspired by the thousands of drawings and models that have remained in the archives.
