C.1880. A gorgeous and versatile Victorian long guard chain. The chain is 18k yellow  gold, and consists of faceted links. It is long with the full length just under 62 inches, and can be beautifully doubled or tripled. Please see the photo when it was doubled. 

With its chunky links, the chain looks striking even on its own, yet also with a large locket or multiple pendants. There is no clasp that opens, which is typical in long Victorian chains. The original dog-clip clasp can hang a locket or charms if desired, and the chain can easily be worn through your head with its generous length. The weight of the chain is 56.11 grams.
This is a chain that can be a definite jewelry staple in your collection. Enjoy wearing it in different ways. With an English hallmark & '18' (18ct).  Overall the chain is in great condition.
